Pepe Serna
Actor/Motivator/Artist/Speaker/Writer/Producer/Director
Corpus Christi Bay Productions, LLCPepe Serna is an internationally renowned, award winning, actor, artist, and teacher. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1944, the son of a naval base interpreter for Latin American pilots and a cosmetologist. His desires to become an actor happened early in life, moving to New York and eventually Hollywood in 1969 to finally pursue his dreams.
Serna did not have to wait long to find steady work on film and TV. His first break in movies came in 1970 on the Roger Corman directed the film Student Nurses. Over the years Serna has appeared in over 100 films, most notably Scarface co-starring with Al Pacino, directed by Brian De Palma, where he played Tony Montana's friend Angel Fernandez (whose character met his demise in the notorious "chainsaw scene"). Other notable films include American Me and Ballad of Gregorio Cortez, both with Edward James Olmos, The Jerk with Steve Martin, Shootout with Gregory Peck, Day of the Locust, the Sci-Fi classic, Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Silverado with Kevin Costner, Downsizing with Matt Damon and Car Wash with Richard Pryor.
Serna has guest starred in more than 300 episodic television shows, films and specials. He has also appeared on stage, including his solo show El Ruco, Chuco, Cholo, Pachuco, which is Serna's version of the panorama of Latino cultural history. Most recently, Serna co-stars as Abuelo (Grandfather) Montanez in the hit film Flamin Hot, directed by Corpus Christi’s own Eva Longoria. He is a series regular on the show With Love, the Amazon streaming series currently in its second season.
Serna has been honored by the Screen Actors Guild Heritage Achievement Award , the League of United Latin American Citizens, and the Estrella Award for Arts and Culture from the Orange Country Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Serna is also a much sought after motivational speaker. He conducts his “Pepefied” workshops in schools nationwide and makes personal appearances at film festivals and celebrity conventions such as Comic–Con and The Hollywood show.
A documentary and memoir about the Mexican American actor, Pepe Serna: Life is Art, was released this year. It highlights his life and career and showcases his artwork in a unique presentation that has won praise from film festivals and booksellers across the country.

Pedro J. Pizarro
President and CEO
Edison InternationalPedro J. Pizarro is president and chief executive officer of Edison International, the parent company of Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation’s largest electric utilities. Edison International is also the parent company of Edison Energy, a portfolio of competitive businesses providing commercial and industrial customers with energy management and procurement services. He is a member of Edison International’s board of directors.
Pizarro was elected as a vice chair for the Edison Electric Institute in June 2020 and serves on the boards of Electric Power Research Institute, Argonne National Laboratory, Caltech and the Analysis and Resilience Center for Systemic Risk. He served on the boards of the Electric Power Supply Association, California Power Exchange, Colburn School, House Research Institute, Southern California Leadership Council and Western Energy Institute.
Pizarro serves on the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council, which is the principal liaison between the federal government and the electric power industry to prepare for and respond to national-level disasters or threats to critical infrastructure. Pizarro represented the electric industry on the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (SEAB) and co-chaired the SEAB Innovation Working Group. Pizarro also served on California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Task Force on Business and Jobs Recovery
Pizarro earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and held National Science Foundation and Department of Defense graduate fellowships. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Harvard University.

Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh

State of CaliforniaRosilicie Ochoa Bogh is a native Californian and the daughter of Mexican immigrants. Ochoa Bogh credits her family with teaching her personal responsibility, the value of an education and hard work, and that home ownership is the cornerstone of the American Dream.
Ochoa Bogh is a graduate of San Bernardino High School and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Prior to being elected to state office in 2020, Ochoa Bogh was a teacher, a real estate agent, school board member, former President of the Yucaipa Valley Chamber of Commerce, and board member of the East Valley Association of Realtors.
Throughout her career, Ochoa Bogh has been a champion for stronger schools, lower taxes, better infrastructure, and more affordable home prices. She serves on ten committees, including but not limited to Budget and Fiscal Review, Education (Vice Chair), Housing (Vice Chair), Public Safety (Vice Chair), Rules and Ethics.
Senator Ochoa Bogh and Greg Bogh, her husband of 27 years, live with their son, two daughters and a Cocker Spaniel named Penny in the city of Yucaipa.

Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer
Edison International and Southern California EdisonMarta I. Carreira-Slabe is vice president and chief ethics and compliance officer for Southern California Edison and its parent company, Edison International. She is responsible for ethics education, awareness of the HelpLine and internal investigations. She is also responsible for overseeing six separate compliance programs, including records management, energy regulation and privacy.
Before joining the company, Carreira-Slabe held multiple leadership roles at Aon for more than 15 years, including senior counsel, chief counsel of Latin America and chief compliance officer, Americas. Most recently, she was Aon’s division general counsel, Global Health Solutions.
Carreira-Slabe was also a commercial litigation associate with Sidley Austin, LLP in Chicago, where she handled a range of civil litigation, class actions and arbitration claims. Before her legal career, she was an award-winning, prime-time and morning news anchor in Illinois for WCIA-TV.
She received her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and has a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Illinois.
